MENA Journalist Yasmina Allouche Calls on Governments to Prioritize Protecting Women Against GBV

November 24, 202122:30

For the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, Middle East Program Director Merissa Khurma interviews Yasmina Allouche, a researcher and journalist from Algeria. In her reporting on socio-politics of the MENA region, Yasmina has brought awareness to the social and personal implications of online harassment and gender-based violence. She argues while progress has been made in criminalizing certain forms of GBV, governments across the region must do more to implement those laws and seek justice for victims.
